417 Luffa Foaming Gel

I recently wrote about this months Glossybox and one of the products was this Luffa foaming gel cleanser. This was one of the products that I was really excited about trying. After having used it for a few days now, I am here to tell you my thoughts. 417

You can purchase the cleanser from the Minus 417 Website  for $29, which isn’t the cheapest of products but it’s far from one of the more expensive ones.

Having received the Context cleanser back in the November GlossyBox  I had high hopes for this one since I was MASSIVELY impressed with the Context product. However, I have to admit, I was a left with quite the anti-climax.

I’m not saying it is the worst cleanser I have ever used, because it isn’t but this last month or so I have been using Clean and Clear and I much prefer that over this higher priced one. It claims to exfoliate but there really isn’t that much ‘grit’ in the liquid, making it feel more moisturizing than exfoliating. I like an exfoliater to really feel like its scrubbing away that dead skin and I just didn’t get that feeling from this one.

I wasn’t blown away by the scent either. If I’m using something on my face, you know, where my nose is located, I want the smell to be pleasant. To me, this smelt like kitchen cleaner. I felt more like a cooker top than a human whilst cleaning my face with this. download (2)

The results after aren’t anything to write home about, usually when I start using a new cleanser I can see results within the first few tries, my skin will feel different, but with this-nada, zilch, zip!

It does, however do a very good job of removing make up, not a trace is left behind and that is a big must for me in a facial cleanser. So it’s not all bad.

The product is a fully vegan formula and claims to stimulate, creating improved and renewed circulation. I didn’t notice this.

I’d have to give this one a 3/10 I’m not blown away at all and for the price I would expect A LOT more. I won’t be buying this again but as always it’s nice to try something new, because if you don’t try, you’ll never know, as they say.

Have you used this cleanser? What were your thoughts on it? Leave me a comment and let me know what you thought.

Sounds like it’s really not worth the money. Thank you for your honesty!
I use clean & clear too. I have since I was in high school, and I probably won’t be changing that any time soon lol.
